Server Side Applications

• There are many server side programs that will analyze your web server log files in-place and then create HTML, text, or even e-mail reports of your virtual web server traffic. They are pre-configured for easy installation and are free of charge.

  • http-analyze ()
  • The Webalizer ()

Many other server-side programs exist, and many of these run without any problem on your Developer Server.

If your web site has a high traffic load, you may want to consider purchasing a client side application such as WebTrends to reduce the load on your Developer Server.
